The cottage stands in the center of the village, yet is peaceful, secluded and detached. It is a 200 year old stone building, with all traditional details lovingly renovated and preserved.

The house sleeps six, and three bedrooms. As you will see from the photos, our upstairs master bedroom comes with a private balcony and mountain views.

The house also offers a large, South-facing sun terrace and a sunbathing area. Here, a shaded patio leads down onto an outside dining space under a sheltering orange tree, and down again into a garden of flowerbeds and flowering shrubs .In turn, there is an East West view onto valleys, hills and plains, the sea beyond, and the rising and setting of the Corfu sun.

Location

One of the oldest and most historic villages, but also super beutiful, quite, and not touristic. It is located in the mid of the north part of the island, which is a stategic, traffic-free starting point to visit many sides of the island. The nearrest beach is a bit less than a 15min drive, and Corfu airport is a 25min drive. The village itself is as if it's inside a large garden. It faces south according to the byzantic ideals, so its sees sunrise to sunset. There are many paths, churches, hikes, and unknown sightseight to explore. It's a largely untouched area. Within 20 minute drive radius one can enjoy village vibed cafe's and snacks, michelin awarded restaurants, good quality by-the-sea restaurants, and small taverns. Besides that there are historic frescoes, and old forgotten roads to explore - even discover.

"Our stay at Korakiana Cottage was like a dream. We wanted the authentic experience and we got just what we were looking for: a home with character (we loved the way the smell of the fireplace brought back vacation memories from childhood) that we could make our own, in a real Greek village. Here, the pleasures of inside and outside living blend together. We had all our meals on the terrace, enjoying the view, fragrant air, warm tile underfoot, and visits from friendly neighborhood cats (especially Dapples, as we named one especially sweet little kitty). The cottage is located is up a long and twisty one-lane road. We used this as an incentive to stay put, and let time slow down instead of racing around. We explored a lot on foot, and made it a point to be neighborly by getting coffee every morning at the little store in the village. If you need a reminder of how good life can be when you slow down, Korakiana Cottage is the place you are looking for."

"We are a family of 5 with teenaged children and LOVED our stay. The house and garden is so pretty with far reaching views and lots of thoughtful touches such as flowers and candles. The house is very well equipped with comfortable beds and good shower/ bathroom. Communication was excellent and Max and Manos were very helpful. We really had a great time - very helpful Google maps links to favourite places as well. We could happily have stayed longer! Thank you!"

"Beautiful house which was very clean and extremely well equipped with everything you would need especially the kitchen. The bed was very comfortable as there was only the two of us we only used one bedroom. Please be aware that there is only one smallish bathroom downstairs and the bedrooms are upstairs so really the house in our opinion is suitable for maximum four adults as the shower is quite compact although efficient and there is always plenty of hot water. The outside area and the terraces are lovely and the garden full of lovely plants and flowers. The sun shines in the garden all day until about 6' o'clock and the views are absolutely beautiful. The village is very quiet but be aware there are only two very small shops and everything is quite basic and simple but the locals are very friendly and welcoming. The location is very central to see the north of Corfu and Corfu town. There is a bit of a drive to restaurants but we can recommend Taverna Panorama and Pomelo. We will be back."

"We had such a lovely stay! The house was super cozy and made us feel right at home. The village was really charming, and we loved exploring it with little walks.
